What are Scouts?

The Scout section is for young people, usually aged between 10.5 and 14 years. A young person can come into the Troop at 10 and may stay until they are 14.5 years old. Scouts take part in a challenging, fun, balanced programme that helps them to find out about the world in which they live; encourages them to know about their own abilities and helps them develop their creative talent. It also provided opportunities to explore their own values and personal attitudes.

Where and when do they meet?

Meetings are held at our Scout Headquarters on a Friday evening between 7:15pm and 9pm.

What do they do?

We hold weekend camps at Drum Hill and an annual weeks camp in Wales around the first week of the school summer holidays. At Summer Camp we have activities like Inter Patrol competitions, Swimming, Canoeing, Camp Olympics, Expeditions and trips to local attractions.

How can your child join?

Please let us have your child's details by entering the 'Membership Enquiry' email form on the 'Contact Us' page. Your child's details will be entered onto our database and the Beaver's Leader will contact you when your child is old enough and we have a vacancy.
